Steal This Idea — Special Ed Counseling for Parents and Children
There is a big batch of general therapy practices moving online — Lyra, ginger.io, Better Help, Teladoc, Octave Health, Two Chairs, Emilio Health. There are also several startups trying to provide parenting advice — Weldon, Trustle, Weehuman.
It seems to me that there is a more focused counseling program around students with special needs. This is an overwhelming process for parents, often involving expertise, legal advice, and coaching for both parents and children.
There are 7 million children receiving special education services. Seems like a high-need space that has been poorly served online.
