Project Read

My co-founder Viv and I are so excited to be working on this product! The Science of Reading is sweeping the country now, helping teachers work on the skills of reading with their kids and build them up systematically to be great and excited readers.

One of the key components of that is decodable text. Decodables have a very controlled vocabulary, focused on a specific type of phonics pattern which the student is working on right now. Project read is building individualized decodables at each student’s just right level. We hope to allow teachers to use this to give their students practice with feedback from our AI coach. Most importantly, we use generative AI to create an infinite number of decodables at each level using the UFLI scope and sequence. We incorporate student mistakes into future decodables so that they get extra practice.
