Jeremy, I would say that if an email is just a proxy for work you need to do, then just do your work :) however, if an email is adding work you weren’t planning to do, and that happens a lot, then you need to step back and think about a few things. First, should I be doing that work? If so, is there something else I shouldn’t be doing? Is there someone else that should own this rather than me?

A lot of times email is just the messenger to let you know that your role and focus isn’t correct. Happy to chat more.
