It’s a really good point that there are definitely aspects of what L&D does today that need to be preserved. For example, I still fondly remember the bootcamp style indoctrination i received to Oracle culture when I joined thirty years ago. But maybe that is budget that stays with HR while 90% pushes out to the operating organizations as has happened with IT.
